Paystation or app can't find my reg

If you see the message "vehicle not found" when entering your registration number at the pay station, simply use the + and - buttons to select the date and time of your entry.

The app also has a similar feature. If it can't find your registration number, you can manually select the date and entry time to proceed with your payment.

Remember to ensure that payment is made at the end of your stay.

Make sure the registration is entered correctly.

Be Careful When Entering Your Registration Number to Avoid Keying Errors

It's important to be careful when entering your vehicle registration number to avoid common keying mistakes. One of the most frequent errors occurs when the letter "O" is mistakenly typed as the number "0", or vice versa. UK registration plates always follow a consistent format: 2 letters, 2 numbers, and 3 letters (e.g., AB10CDE). This means that the 3rd and 4th characters in the registration will always be numbers. However, if you have a private or custom plate, the format may differ.

For example, the registration AB10CDE could easily be typed incorrectly as AB1OCDE, where the letter “O” has been confused with the number “0.” This can lead to issues when verifying or processing the registration number.

Another common mistake is confusing the number "1" with the letter "I". While both characters look similar, it's important to remember that the number "1" often has a base or a straight line, whereas the letter "I" is a simple vertical line with no base. For example, AB11CDE could mistakenly be entered as ABII CDE, leading to confusion.

To prevent these errors, take your time when entering your registration number, especially for characters that look alike. If you're unsure, double-check your input to make sure it's accurate.
